Hi all,
Just want to know if I'm missing any major directories that I should submit to. I've got DMOZ [dmoz.org] and YAHOO [yahoo.com] anything else?

Thanks for any input

Hi circuitjump,

I agree with Mike_Mackin, Looksmart is the next big one. But many vortals and trade directories are also waiting for your credit card number! :)

No joke, if you are in some niche market, it pays!

I just saw the price for Looksmart and it's $299!

How effective is Looksmart really?

If anyone can give there opinion on the subject, it would help a lot.

Thanks

It isn't worth the money.........cough it up to Yahoo instead.....or better yet, blow the $299 on a night at the bar! At least you will see what you got for your money!

To simply say the Looksmart isn't worth $299 is wrong. You need to do the research for your industry and make an education decision. If your selling anything with a good profit margin you should check competition #'s and go from there. I have many sites that are pulling great traffic from MSN (via looksmart) and were able to get their $299 back within a matter of days.
