Do the ODP a service and, assuming you have a choice, submit a site using the 'real' URL. Updating a site's address is easy if it gets some new home.
A submitter wants to be careful not to give the false impression that they are spamming the directory. If an inquisitive editor does a cursory check of the submitted URL only to find that it takes them to another domain, they may incorrectly assume that the submitter has ulterior motives, or, that they are attempting to inappropriately gain multiple listings for an individual site.
The opinion of many editors is that the reinvestigation and headaches that are required to claify what is actually going on can be more trouble than they are worth. That would be a bad thing.
