IS DMOZ Broken?

Unable to submit to categories

I get 404 error reports every time I try to submit a site no matter what category. Either there is something flawed in the directions or the site is broken. If it is so difficult to use the site, why is the site so "highly regarded" by others?

Any solutions out there?

Welcome to WebmasterWorld

I'm not surprised you're having problems. DMOZ closed down in March 14, 2017 .

IIRC they stopped accepted submissions quite a time before the site went offline.

Either there is something flawed in the directions or the site is broken.

The end is nigh.

I think it's been at least 10 or 15 years that no one (search engines) minds Dmoz. It's one of those legends in the SEO todo list.
