I'm looking for reviews by actual users of directory scripts that are in active use, have some degree of popular acceptance, and show signs of continuing life - as in "they have and continue to be updated to work with social media, etc.".

If you are going to add a review "put some meat on the bone", don't just say "Blah Blah is GREAT!". Tell us about the script's functionality, ease of use, speed, flexibility, etc.

Using Business Directory Plugin for Wordpress. [wordpress.org...]

We didn't need a full blown indepth directory. We just need a place to track sites in a particular niche. So far it has worked out better than we had anticipated. It has more features than we are using.

We looked at alot of other ones, but this was the fastest to setup with the lowest learning curve. All-in-all we love it.

As you can see from the wordpress description, it has a good set of features, with just about anything you could need in a directory.

cons:
needs better search. I wish it had a way to index the linked page as well.
