It varies. A lot. I had a site put into ODP that was in AOL the next week. I had to wait 3 months for another. I am sorry for the ambiguity, but at least in my experience, it has varied.
Sorry for the sucky answer, but its the best I have.

The long answer is "past experience indicates that the degree of uncertainty inherent in any properly qualified answer to this question exceeds the time over which the past was experienced."
The legal answer is that the ODP users' license imposes no requirement to _ever_ update.
The ethical answer is that this is an opportunity for you to develop and exercise patience.
Within the private editors' forums, it's traditional to respond by posting the addresses of the last 200 threads in which this question was asked.
We haven't come up with a _helpful_ answer yet.
Update schedules are a constant source of confusion & curiosity (and frustration) for me. None of the search engines/directories maintain a really punctual schedule for their DB updates, so it's all wait and see.
While that is true, this is an entirely different arena.
Many of the people who read and post here keep track of these very things, and do actually answer questions like this.
Hopefully, we'll get some of those people posting here soon. :)
I will keep everyone posted on my growing website. I will also try to contact AOL and see what they tell me, but I am sure that the reps that work for AOL do not even know what the ODP is...LOL. no offense to anyone if you work for aol, but they do have terribble tech suport.
