What is going on with this place?

I've tried submitting every other day for the past two weeks and always get this error right before completing the billing process:

Unable to complete request
We can't complete your request right now. Please try again later.

If you get this message more than once, report it as a recurring problem.
Message 2002

Of course I reported it and not a word back.

Keep at it and let us know what the ultimate outcome is. I'll bet it's something unexpected, like a security setting glitch, credit card glitch . . . or maybe the fact that you're using a FireFox browser on a Microsoft website. ;)

I've tried both browsers, different accounts. At work, at home.

Interesting, I also talked to someone in customer service there the other day and they told me they won't accept any sites that don't have a USA address attached to their credit card.

So all my Canadian clients have basically been told - "We don't want you." Nice.

Why in the world would they do this?

Is this something new?

I have the same problem here ( Italy ).

Maybe Msndude could clarify it....

Same from Australia.... it kicks me out as soon as I try and confirm the purchase item. This happens before any credit card details are entered, so I suspect it is reacting to the IP address of the enquirer.

Come on MS... if the playground is off-limits to all except USA players, then say so. Stop pi***** people around and put a bloody message on the page!

Got a reply from support. Apparently you do need both US mailing address and US credit card to add your site to the directory. Bummer! Any kind folks with both of those willing to help out for a comission? ;)

I tried to submit a UK site from the UK to it and couldnt due to the same error problem. so emailed them. The reply said the same thing:-

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Small Business Center Customer Support....yada, yada.

.....I have verified that you are from United Kingdom. Unfortunately, our Submit It! service (which includes the listing for the Small Business Directory) is currently only available in the US locale.......

If you must sign-up for Submit It!, you can do so by using US contact and billing information. If you have a valid US contact and billing information that you can use....

This was followed by instructions on how to Submit It!

So to quote i need "US contact and billing information" to get listed in the directory - This reply is about as usefull as a chocolate Teapot on the basis that my business interests are all UK based unless like the user above i can find a US contact that will submit the info for us - JOKE
