All we are supposed to be there to do is add quality sites to the directory that meet the guidelines. ODP is there for the web surfers. If a webmaster submits a site to a certain category and meets the requirements and it stays that way, the site will stay in the directory. It may be moved to another category if it is found to better fit that niche, and sometimes we need to create sub-categories because of the volume of sites listed makes it hard to wade through the search results.
However if a webmaster submits a site that either does not meet the guidelines or switches things around, ie: redirect pages to affiliates or whatever, then they will be taken out if they are found by either that category editor or one of the Meta editors.
Hope this clarifies things for you.

Actually I just wanted to reassure you guys that editors actually do try to keep up with submissions. But I can only speak for myself. <wink>
