Retail and wholesale ODP categories for products

This has been addressed before but I was wondering if I can get some specific feedback on something that probably comes up frequently.

Doing separate sites is probably better, but for now a couple of upcoming sites will have both a wholesale and a retail section. One will be primarily wholesale by 90%, with a small retail section, where a good representation of the products will actually be displayed for retail sale.

A good part of the wholesale will eventually be password protected, restricted by resale numbers when a lot of products are added, to protect the seller's copyright privileges, an important issue with handmade crafts and design emulation by other crafters as well as mass produced imports.

This probably happens with a lot of product sites. I'm assuming we'll have to choose one or the other to emphasize, and then submit to that one category. Is this correct?

For the most part a qualified yes. I have a couple of sites in similar situations, but the editor was nice enough to allow both category listings. Pick the best category, submit it, after inclusion, try the rest.
