How to figure out weather a site has been listed in DMOZ and Yahoo? I found that just entering the URL didn't work. Is there a special prefix or something to ues?

For DMOZ, search for the url without the www. and without the http:
It will show up in search around 1 to 2 weeks after it was added, (and if removed) continue to show in search for 1 to 2 weeks after
