Are Wikipedia & Dmoz related?

I just noticed on the bottom of DMOZ sites it says

Visit our sister sites mozilla.org ¦ ChefMoz ¦ MusicMoz ¦ Open-Site ¦ Wikipedia

I never noticed Wikipedia before is this something new?

How are the sites were related? Do they supply content to each other in some way or are they just owned/funded by the same people?

No, neither.

Both are independent projects that harness collaborative volunteer efforts and the internet to build an original information resource.

Open-site is more like wikipedia, independent of both the ODP and WP.

MusicMoz was started by ODP editors.

ChefMoz is a separate project but with the same sponsorship as the ODP, and shares many of the same editors.
