[myfavoritei.net]

I'm getting traffic, showed up on extreme-dm on my good NBCi sites as well as on one that rarely gets NBCi traffic. Looks like NBCi is getting agressive. Anyone ever seen a promo for myfavoritei.net ??

Judging from their massive ad campaigns from Day 1, I'd say that's a good assessment. NBC is pretty aggressive with all their properties, unlike CBS (General Electric) who let GEnie die when it was better known than AOL. *smirk*

I haven't seen this yet, but I'll definitely download it. I've used AV free access a lot lately, since my regular ISP has had it's share of woes, and this is using the indentical provider - 1stup.com In fact, the local access numbers are identical.

I've not even once had a busy signal or been disconnected, connection is quick, never had any need for tech support. I was so grateful to have the backup I didn't even mind the talking commercials before connecting. The main fault is that it's a RAM hog, and I had to reboot and reconnect periodically.

The difference I notice with this service is that instead of going all the way across the screen, the banner is 468x60, so it probably won't get "stuck" like the larger one tends to do. This service also seems to be providing POP3 and SMTP for email, an additional plus.

I know I'm getting off-topic, but thanks.

Hmm - 1st up. Last I heard they went bust - then I noticed that Free AV is stopping its free service on Dec 10th. So I'm surprised this NBCi offer is still up (I didn't try using it - but I do need to find another free isp!).

I got the same notice when I had to get online with AV yesterday. I have to keep a backup, MSN is too glitchy since their "catastrophes" last month. I just got the offer from NBCi at a hotmail account this week. Strange.
