Does Google Penalize Dmoz Editor's Sites?

After being re-instated as editor for several Dmoz categories after a long absence, within a week or two I found a number of my sites had dropped in rank. They had already dropped a fair way, but this was a considerable percentage drop.

Is it possible that Google would penalize an editor who had many sites in the ODP, sites which had been there since last century?

It's just a coincidence, there was a huge Google update recently and a lot of people's sites dropped unexpectedly. Go over to the Google forum and you'll find like 400 pages of posts about it. (-:

Coincidence. Although I think the recent update de-valued DMOZ listings greatly. Google is catching on.

It is possible that Google's "do much eval" program has reduced, in their eyes, the importance of the ODP:

But, if so (and remember Googleguy says Bourbon is still to early to call), they are simply replacing one human-edited authority with another....Though one less obviously amenable to webmasters' attempted shenanigans.
