I am wondering if Google or any other search engines views expedient directory submittals as a bad thing?
I started my submittals with my new site a week ago. I sent it to 12 free directories and 2 paid directories.
-Should I sit on the sidelines for awhile or keep going full throttle?
-Also, does submitting to directories increase my overall PR?
I know I have a long way to go but I am patient.
Bear in mind I am a novice webmaster seeking knowledge from the experts on this board.

M) Topic directories.
Almost every keyword sector has an authority hub on it's topic. Go submit within the guidelines.
Submit within Google's guidelines or the directory in which you're submitting to? I'm sure he's referring to the latter but wanted to make sure.
I wouldn't Google to consider this as spamming. I'd think they'd regard them as paid advertisements and don't frown on how frequent you submit, right?
I have about $400 in my paypal count just eager to be spent. ;)
