Just started up a directory site

I started one this month.
A few days ago i got my first submissions after that igot alot more and now im siting on 28 submissions. im listed on a few engines msn,yahoo and google.
havent seen it under a keyword yet so i dont know where im at on there.
I wish i could find out most the scripts that ive seen that will look it up onlu looks on the firs 5 pages of the 25 pages that come up when you search.
anyone know of a more powerful script

Only if the adsence ads are placed to drive traffic away from the listings.

Why would anyone want to pay for a listing in a directory where adsence ads are placed more effectivly & doing better than your site for traffic!?

I am thimking of starting a couple of niche directories. Its little hassle, and the motive is not adsense dollars, or dreams of granduer in the future.

Rather, I am interested in the linking. The directories would not have content. just links in categories.

The content would be on other niche sites, which do have adsense running.

Now I think it is more interesting to question the value of these links in the future in the eyes of the SE´s. I am seeing a huge explosion of directories, and see only ontopic directories being of any use in the link pr game.

Imagine a 5 dollar fee for directory listing. Not reciprical. Or one dollar. Cheap. And perfectly feasable. But the owner of the directory has pr to play with .... hummm

thats what I find onteresting.
