Yes Folks, it's True!

My luck with directories as been nothing less then hopeless. Starting with Dmoz's reenactment of the popular 1950s movie "Guilty by Suspicion" staring Robert DeNiro to Yahoo de-activating my listing - whats next?!

My Yahoo listing was up for renewal a few months ago; when it was renewed, our listing suddently dropped - we still got charged though.
When I contacted Yahoo; the Lad on the phone told me to re-apply; he was going to credit my account (claiming that it would be faster this way).

Once I saw the credit; I attempted to re-apply but Yahoo did not let me; stating that my URL was already listed! But my URL was not listed!
In any case, I spoke to them 1 month ago; they were suppose to call me back with days!

I never had so much trouble trying to spend $300!

How long did it take for them to resolve this issue?
I wonder how many people think their listed buy are not...

Pick up the phone and work it out. Be proactive. Waiting for a part-time college student who doesn't care about your business to call you back is not wise in my book. Just my opinion, but in today's economy with the web I think we are relying too much on new technology (email) and less on old technology (telephone).

Best of luck to you,

On call back #2 you have to get a little "Manhattan" on them, and be a little jerky. Escalate and talk with the boss and get it taken care of, and if he/she can't help you, talk to their boss. Bottom line, you do not hang up the phone until your problem is resolved. Don't let them put you on hold either, because college students love the "eternal hold" trick and wait until you hang up. Geez, can you tell I have issues?!?!

And people wonder why I drink after work!

Cheers!
