From the other side of things.......I submitted a site to a large Business category once and it got listed in under two hours.

Submit to every section possable and you might get mine... lol

Anyway: After reading the Guidlines and the help to decide who gets in or not i'll give you a rough idea...

we like:
* Original, unique and valuable informational content that contributes something unique to the category's subject.

* We dont add Affiliate Marketing Schemes.
Sites Consisting Primarily of Affiliate Links
Affiliate Reseller Sites
Identical mirrors are sites
Redirects and "Cloaked" URLs
Illegal Sites

Spam Dmoz as an Ed and it can take less than 45 Mins to be banned! Don't Spam and you will still get complaints!.

I have had a shed load of complaints that I spam. I don't. The net result is I have had one domain removed and my most vocal complainant continues to spam Dmoz using redirects, deep links etc.

A site I am connected with I passed to a Meta to consider over 18 months ago. It hasn't been.

I am fed up with being a Dmoz ED not becuase of Dmoz but the abuse Editors get and the amount of spam we have to deal with.

Having just rejected a site from a blind person no doubt I will now be accused as being anti blind! ( Of course the reason was two mirror sites are already in Dmoz).

Im sorry that you feel that way i thought i might have been able to help some people with advice.

The reason for posting it in this section was becasue Dmoz is a directory and thought that it makes sence...

Dont be sorry rj87uk. Congrats on getting accepted!:) It's nice to see a positive dmoz thread for once and please feel free to share any insight you might glean from being an editor that might help out other community memebers.

Gotta adhere any dmoz privacy issues and don't post any confidential info here but other that, any tips or insight you have are most welcome.
