Dmoz denied the inclusion of one old domain.
A new domain was submitted months later to another category.

Now the wont include because the contents on new site are the same in both sites (they are identical because the old domain was passed to the new one and will be down soon)

I just want the new site to be listed!
I'm not trying to put 2 sites in different categories!
How can I kill the old submission in order to make room for the new one?

If your site is listed in the ODP under its old URL, and you want to replace that listing with your new URL, what you need to do is submit an update request. Go to the category your site is listed in and click the "update URL" link in the upper right-hand corner.

You'll want to make sure it's obvious from viewing the old URL that it really is moving to the new one, of course; otherwise the change isn't likely to happen.

Hope that helps!

(Mind: I don't know which URLs we are talking about)

I am sure that, if the old domain was denied a listing (aka it is not listed) we won't reject a new domain because it is a mirror.

We might reject it because it has the same unlistable content, though...

It's always good to hear that the editors are editing consistently.

But, just to make sure that the sites are being rejecting because of their content, not their domain name: You could always create a third domain with the same content, and submit it also.

If you haven't already.

But I'd have hoped the pattern is clear enough.

The first domain was rejected due to an omission in it' content.

The second domain corrected that mistake and it's not trying to mirror the first one. In fact, there is a permanent redirecton from the first (rejected) domain to the new (not listed yet) domain.

Will dmoz consider that a mirror and reject my new domain too?
When asked about submission satuts a resource zone editor told me about my first domain and that I should not submit the same content to different categories.
I'm not trying to do that.
I submitted the new domain to the apropiate category (different that the old one which was other language)...

So can I kill the old rejected submission and submit my new correct site in peace?
How?
