Quotin the current list of bugs regarding submissions, posted at the official ODP forum:

The page you attempted to access does not exist on this site.

As far as I can tell, this error is appearing for everyone. Some changes were made to the submission procedures, and one of the programs needed to complete a submission is MIA. This means that no one can submit a site at the moment. The matter has been reported and we are just waiting for the technical staff to fix it.

thank you, Windharp,
your informations helps saving time.
Since a couple of days I tried to submit at various categories, but I always ended up at:
The page you attempted to access does not exist on this site.
Let's hope that they fix it fast.

Had same issue here, cat editor had a dmoz contact form, and that still worked so I reported it and sent him the details of the sub at the same time.

I have to sat that its a bit weak for a big established site like dmoz to be showing errors like this.

If dmoz programmers dont test their own script updates how can they penalise submitted sites which are incomplete eh!

Pot kettle :-)

Very few commercial sites submitting to dmoz have as much content as dmoz itself. Not that many commercial sites have as few staff members as dmoz itself. ;)

We are just finishing a big server upgrade, that distributed the load on many different machines. Now staff is working on the process to put everything on its dedicated server - it seems they made a mistake somewhere :-)

The current technical word is: VERY busy public servers.

I can't speculate as to why they're so busy: at this point nobody is claiming it's a DDoS attack, and there may still be technical issues with the new servers.

The editors' machine is slow also, but by no means as slow.

I don't know if being busy is the problem, because this seems to be happening at any hour of the day. I think they must be working out unseen bugs in the upgrade of their servers. However, I can't figure out if I have been submitting or not, and if this turns into dmoz thinking I'm submitting multiple times, and then I get penalized for THEIR lame machines and code, then forget it. I'm going to JoeAnt.

Not a problem...duplicate submittals (same URL, same category) made in quick succession will get merged.
