Straight from the editors at the Resource Zone an important server upgrade is in process, and it may be as early as today, July 21, at 12 Noon Pacific Time. Once the upgrades are done, you will be able to see if you are in the new listing.

In particular, you will be able to post at the resource-zone and editors will be able to check the upgraded DMOZ servers for submission status, changes, etc.

The following was posted at resource-zone:

Are you ready to dance with DMOZ this week?

According to ODP the system should have been back on line from noon Monday PST.

I just tried to add an URL at 7.30 am GMT Tuesday and got error message
'Accessing URL:http://editors.dmoz.org/cgi.bin/add2.cgi' failed.

I just tried a test and was able to submit successfully. Submission problems may be something that is best reported at the resource zone. Just search Google for "resource zone".

Like theseeker I've been able to add URLs.

There have been problems in the past about access via proxies, and possibly the upgrades haven't nailed them all.

But (as theseekersays) resource-zone is your friend on problems like this.

Taking you literally, searching Google for "resource zone" produces over 15,000 results. Can you narrow this down?

Oooops, sorry. Forget that last post.

Thought I was on a different forum. Many apologies.

This was a major system upgrade. There are still bugs to sort out. Give it time.

Holy cow, it's number one on my Google search. Resource zone is all you need to find what is being recommended.
