I recently noticed 3 listings for the same company in the same DMOZ category, including 2 that were exact mirrors of each others content.

I contacted the editor for the section to inform him of the problem, and he sent me an email saying that it would be fixed. I waited a week - nothing happened. I then sent another message and copied 'staff' asking why the listings were still there. A week later and no action.

There are 44 listings in the section, and the abuse is blatant. It would take all of 5-10 minutes to identify the abuse and delete the mirror. The question is - Why no action? I would appreciate the comments of the metas who use this forum, who may enlighten me why this has occured.

It could be fixed, but due to dmoz reverting back to an older index on the public side the changes are not showing. This has been mentioned several times as of late :)

Thanks for the answer, I'll keep an eye on the section and see whether the spam goes. I'll also be interested to see if the company gets a ban. In principle I believe that it should do, but it is a very big player in the market....

Sticky me with the details, if you like, and I'll take a peek.
