Two entries in same category in ODP

Same category links to two pages on my site. Is it safe to exploit it?

Modified the directory structure on my site a few months back and requested a modification of my existing ODP listing to point to the new address.

Instead the editor added a new listing pointing to the new page without deleting the existing entry.

The old page redirects to the new page and has been the search bots have been disallowed in the robots.txt.

The content also contains the noindex, nofollow tags.

So far I've been doing the ethical thing.

However after many requests to have the old link removed I starting to wonder if it would be safe to take advantage of this extra link.

Eventually, some editor will notice and delete one of the listings.

If _you_ want to affect which one s/he kills, an update url request can indicate the one that should go.

That'd be ethical too.

Have contacted the category editor as well as the editor for the category above on multiple occassions requesting that the old link be deleted. However no action has been taken.

If it's the site in your profile, the extra page has already been removed from the database, but with the current server upgrade, changes haven't yet shown up on public pages or in search.

Finally :)

How does one check for that?

To answer your question, BikeMan:

Only an editor can check for changes that have been made internally at dmoz but don't yet appear in the public directory. Normally the public pages update pretty quickly after changes are made, but the current server upgrade has created a temporary situation where the public pages aren't being updated.
