The fastest way is Looksmart it normally takes about a week, using ink should get you into MSN but you need to rely on getting your pages optimised, another way would also be overture PPC’s

If you want to have a chance to rank for popular queries, you must go through LookSmart.

Inktomi results are only shown once MSN has exhausted the database of directory listings that it buys from LookSmart. Thus, there are some queries for which you will *never* see Inktomi results in the first three pages. For example, the query "allergies" has something like ten pages of directory results before it falls through to Inktomi. However, the query "allergy treatment" falls through to Inktomi on the first page...so getting a LookSmart listing with the words "allergy treatment" in it would guarantee that your site ranked above all the Inktomi listings, for that query.

In terms of how fast you will get in through LookSmart, it kinda depends. It takes about a week to get approved. They say that once you're in their listings, you can be found throughout their network in 2-4 days, and one presumes that that includes distribution to MSN Search.

Are you referring to the $29 setup fee and $.15 per click program that looksmart has?

Do they have a flat fee listing only?

Thanks

If you are NOT after 1 word queries or really competitive stuff, an Ink submission can do wonders with longer stringed queries. Just make sure you have a well optimized page with good content.
