Has anybody paid the $40 to get into JoeAnt? I did the join and add my own site thing, but I'm just curious as to whether anybody is paying for inclusion in JoeAnt.

Yes, I listed a site in the paid inclusion. Got listed in a couple of days, no complaints at all.

Hey, I'm a curious person; can I ask why you paid instead of joining as a one-day editor?

Given how easy it is to join up as an editor and add your own site I really do not see the point in paying.

I guess JoeAnt must have thousands of editors by now...only problem is they all add only their own site(s). There should maybe be some rule of becoming an editor like the ODP that you need to submit some other sites as well as your own. Then it will grow quicker.
Perhaps JoeAnt can become JoeElephANT one day.

Well im an editor for the computers section so if you want anything adding then tell me and ill review it.
That includes all the internet section and everything else by the way.

I think JoeAnt is doing great, so far. I just wonder if the paid inclusion factopr is a deterrent to add sites for free.

Simply because I didn't want to be an editor :) I have enough to do, and it's not exactly a huge sum of money!

For the 'Independent Business Affiliates' topics you'll have to pay since no editor can add sites there.
