I have sent requests to DMOZ to change the .net to .com, but have noticed that there may not be an editor for the category, since at the bottom of the page it asks for volunteers. When will anyone read the request? Should I try to volunteer myself?
It has never been a problem, but I have noticed during the Google update or pre update whatever, that on the www2 server, our .com homepage is not there, but .net IS there, and being of almost 0 PR, does not rank in the SERPS. So really we need to change that link and THEN take it offline.
Not really sure what to do...help...

I have registered at resource zone and got a reply in about 30 seconds. If only they could change the listing so quickly...;)
The worrying thing right now, and why I suddenly decided to deal with it, is that on these odd Google servers(www-sj, www2 etc..), when I search for our company name, I get the .net site, and on any SERP that previously had our index page listing highly, we have gone. All the .com internal pages are still there, though.
Well, I hope the editors can clear it up, and we can kill the .net.
As for a redirect...I am a complete amateur and would have more chance at 3 rounds with Mike Tyson than attempting anything so complicated!
Was surprised to find that the domain has already been changed from .net to .com. Excellent work! I think it was change quickly because they don't like to have mirrors on the Open Directory. I'm glad it's gone.
The resource-zone gave me very quick replies. I was impressed.
People should remember that the editors at DMOZ are volunteers, so should be treated kindly. Nobody is paying them to do this work.
(edit) See the dates are back to normal. This post was made the day before the last one, which is tomorrow.
