I have seen that other people on this board have
found contact information for their category. How
do you find this information on DMOZ?

ODP category editors are listed at the bottom of the category page. Clicking on the name will bring you to the editor's profile page, on which you will find an Email link directly below the name.

In categories where no editor is listed, you will see the message "Volunteer to edit this category" (or "This category needs an editor" in older areas). In this case, browse up the tree until you find a listed editor; that is, if no editor is listed for dmoz.org/SomeCat/Subcat/ThisCat/ , check dmoz.org/SomeCat/Subcat/ and then dmoz.org/SomeCat/ .

You should remember that DMOZ editors are under no obligation to reply to you.

I would be surprised if you got a reply from 1 in 5.

It is not necessarily rudeness (or overwork) more likely not wanting to get involved in a barney!

A specific enquiry, like asking about the status of a particular site listing, is best done via Resource Zone rather than contacting one editor (if that is what you intend to do).

Ah, thank you. My category did not have a link and I did not know to look up a level...

Thanks!
