I've been trying to get into the DMOZ for some time but, I can't seem to find the exact right catagory. The below referrer has visited my site twice. Could this mean that I finally got indexed? I also had a ton of single page visits from several AOL referrers. Thanks!

[dmoz.org:8080...]

That is the refer URL of when a DMOZ editor clicks on your link in the unreviewed sites in a specific category. Chances are they were seeing if that site belonged in that category. If it didnt they moved it to another unreviewed category, if it did chances are they added it to the category. Within a few days you will be able to tell or go check the categories you submitted it to and watch your logs to see if any hits are coming from a dmoz.org url other than the unreview.cgi one :)

IIRC he'd have to wait for the next RDF dump to search dmoz.org for his site, because the search function uses that. Thus, he'll have to actually check the cats his site he thinks he might be listed in to see if it was added.

Thanks for the quick info. Hopefully I'm in. I had about given up on them. Now, if only Google would start to like me.

The ODP is now back on schedule with weekly RDF dumps of the entire ODP public-side database, so if Google returns to its old monthly timetable of sniffing for the dump perhaps you'll see all the sites in the ODP being propogated to directory.google.com in the next few weeks.
