What's up with DMOZ? dmoz.org is down over 4 hours now.

DMOZ down state today can be worm related, but the overall situation with dmoz.org is very weak. I'm from Europe and the January availability report for host dmoz.org looks like:

UP 22d 19h 37m 79.793%
DOWN 5d 18h 40s 20,207%

So low availabilty for a major host remarkable!

Sorry to say, but your numbers arent quite accurate. Let me explain why:

I guess the tool you are using tries to connect once (since thats normal procedure). DMOZ implemented a load-restriction lately, while staff works on server capacity being increased. That is to provide more percentage of the not sufficient capacity to the editors :)

Stupid thing is that you will get a "server down" each time you dont get a free slot. The server isnt actually down in this case, submitting several requests would show that ;)

(Okay, it actually was down for some hours lately, but this was the first really "down" for some time now)
