Submissions to directories

Hi guys,
I have now been trying for 5 days to submit a site to Yahoo biz x press service with no luck. every time I get through to the end of first step(after filling out the site details)and try to proceed to the second step(presumably the credit card details) I get a Fatal error message. Anyone know why this is?

Also I want to know what are Yahoos views on submitting the same Url to more than 1 category. What the client wants, is to be listed under 7 different categories(and will pay $200 for each)but I'm not sure whether this would be allowed. Anyone help me out?

I also want to know about multiple submissions to Looksmart. This time it is only 2 to Looksmart .com and 3 to Looksmart UK. Is this possible or is he asking too much.

knoxy, I run Win98 and use IE, and have found that IE does a lot of crashing when encountering Java or Javascript. If you have Netscape installed you might give that a try. It could be a browser issue.

I would write them an email and tell them which browser you're using and where you're crashing.

We operate in MAC OS9 with NS!
If I had the problem, I might disenable Java and not accept cookies

I don't think YAHOO! would list the same page of the same site (presumably the index page) 7 times in the directory. If a site is large and covers in some depth 7 different topics, then it might be worth a shot to submit 7 different pages. It might be possible to float more than two listings of the same page into YAHOO!, however I think that would be a result of careless editing on the part of YAHOO! or any other directory for that matter to let something like that slip through, especially as many as 7. By all means, though, if the client decides to attempt it, post the results here, and let us know what the final result is, and what YAHOO! has to say about it!

You might also considering recommending that your client divide the site into completely different categories or subdirectories and then submit the index pages of the suddirectories. For this to work, they would need to be completely seperate service or products. If Yahoo feels that they are similiar chances are they will not allow it and you will waste your $200.00
