DMOZ Multiple Categories

Can you have multiple categories in DMOZ?

I recently started working for a new company and part of my day consists of PHP, and the other helping with improving our overall search engine rankings (really fun ;) ). Can you have multiple categories in DMOZ? We are currently under Recreation > Travel > Lodging > Vacation Rentals > Directories. However some of our completion is in 5 categories how is this possible? Actually since I found this forum I have learned a lot, and it is starting to become addictive and fun.

Thanks in advance,

Catnip

Yes, if you have another category you think you should be in, you can request that you be added there.

I don't know what the proper procedure is yet, it's something I'll be looking into soon.

Slade,

Thanks for the information. Can you please keep me updated as you find out more information.

Also any idea why my website URL does not show up in my user profile? Are commercial URL's not allowed?

As per the guidelines travel companies should get at most one listing in regional and one listing in a topical category, I believe.

Some do have more, maybe they are old listings?

That's how I read it as well. I tend not to add a site if it is already elsewhere... unless 'elsewhere' is the regional cat for the site itself.
