Identifying dmoz in the logs

What does it mean?

I recently inquired at resource-zone about the status of a site I have submitted to the ODP and was told the site is waiting for review. Soon after that I got a couple of hits from dmoz in the logs, one of which doesn't look very encouraging! (the one which mentions a chainsaw at the end!).

Rather than me pester the editors again, can anyone tell me if this was just an editor taking a peek or whether the site has likely been given the chop? Thanks!

That just means that someone looked at the site within the editing environment. Nothing more, nothing less.

On a related not could I ask....

One of my sites (not one in profile) does not have a dmoz listing. My webhost used the webaliser stats program. When I checkfor referals I often see "open directory project"

anyone else seeing this?

mack, are you really sure it isn't listed? Of course, webalizer could match that title to virtually anything, possibly depending on the configuration

One thing I was thinking was...

My profile site is listed in dmoz and the site in question uses an image(hotlink)from my dmoz listed site. soudl this be somethig to do with it? I just assumed the referer in this case woudl be my profile site, reguardless of who the referer was to the profile site?
