Hi, I have submitted a site in my profile to the ODP and a few days later saw a hit from dmoz editor's unreviewed page.

The editor went to a few pages and then left.
It's been more than a week now and the site is not listed.
So I'm guessing it got rejected.
I did pick a narrow category, is there anything wrong with the site?

This happened to me a while back. What exactly did you see in the logs. Could it be that the editor moved it to another cat or the main database has not been updated.

It turned out the editor moved it, so for me it was a good result.

It was added under SMC

Best bet is to through that domain away and build a content site. www.history-of-gifts.org

So they are not adding more reps?

Nope; and any remaining reps will find their sites removed under the new policy; this treats MLM agents and affiliates stores equally; before, MLMs got listed, though clearly marked as MLM.

SMC-"Spam Master Central". It's an affiliate program like vstore (and unlike Amazon books) in that it doesn't have its catalog on its home page.

Apparently they thought the reason that directories didn't list Amazon affiliates was that Amazon's home page (with full catalog and order capability) was already listed. So they reasoned, if they actually made LESS information public, they'd get LOTS MORE listings.

Directory builders see this logic as perverse, and the resulting submittals as pestilential.
