Im looking for a list of directories that concentrate on holidays and tourism - as i want to add more inbound links to my site, I have found a few, but im after some quality ones - does anyone know of any -

1.) Try searching Google for "holiday directories."

2.) Visit the Yahoo and DMOZ directories and look for a category for these types of site.

3.) Use the Market Leap visibility index to compare your incoming links to other competitors. This usually can return quite a list of incoming links to sites similar to yours. It's a great place to start building up link request lists...

There are quite a few out there.

I got this recommendation from a friend who works on a sports, tourism and leisure directory that is in development.

You enter your URL, then enter the URLs of some competitors. You pick the area of business or industry that you are in, and it will give you a listing of your site and several other sites that are similar to yours. Then it tells you the number of incoming links to each site as listed in various search engines.

You can use that list to VIEW the incoming links to other sites. Based on that, you can usually find many directories and web sites with link pages.
