Is there a delay between listed in the DMOZ Directory and their database that feeds other SE's?
BTW, I read the "one day" post - WOW. We just did it in less than a week!

Yes, there is a delay, and the length of the delay varies. Google typically grabs a fresh copy of ODP once a month or so.

DMOZ cannot control how often a downstream data user updates. There are some that seemingly will never update again, some that update frequently and some that update from time to time. It isn't up to DMOZ how often they update because they only provide the data. The "database" is a RDF dump that is updated by DMOZ...it's not live that other SEs can tap into, they have to download the data and use it. HTH.
