I am a PostgreSQL newbie and would like to use pgAdmin to work with the database.
What I want is to have as little of the tool as needed on the server (Ubuntu 16.04) and the rest running on my office Desktop (Windows 10). From what I have found, I gather that the bulk of the code is to be installed on the desktop machine with some sort of "stub" on the server to connect with my desktop over the internet?
The instructions say simply download an execute the install exe file on the desktop, which I have done.
I find no instructions about getting the "stub" code installed on the server? Is there something that I have missed?
There is discussion of setting up multiple virtual web servers but I think that this applies only to the Server Based (website) configuration.
Thank you to anyone who can break this logjam for me.
