MySQL has a tutorial [dev.mysql.com] that may bring you up to speed.
I had to chuckle a bit when I read your post. LOL For some reason I thought, "I am not new to the forum, and would like to study brain surgery. Someone please provide easily. I need the money!" ;)
Google "mysql" and check out the first result... Lots of good info there as well.
