Welcome Email

So I have a website that you need to be registered to use. And after using the sign up form, you are assigned a unique pin number, in place of a user name.

How can I make it so that an e-mail is automatically sent to them with the pin and password in it? It would be like a welcome e-mail to the user.

I use PHP and MySQL. Thanks allot!
