Viewing Myd data?

I have had a catastrophic error with my database access which I believe is going to force me to recreate the entire table structure. I have been able to recover the data, but do not know how to view it.

In short, when I try to open my .myd files, I get a bunch of trash symbols and characters. Can anyone recommend a means to convert this to a text file or other usable format - or a viewer that will help me see this?
