Join Problem?

Is there a way to get a list from one table, then mark a field true if that value exists in another table? Example:

Item 1
Item 2
Item 3
Item 4
Item 5

Selected Items
Item 2
Item 4
Item 5

Query
Item 1, False
Item 2, True
Item 3, False
Item 4, True
Item 5, True
