Hi there, i have a problem that I dont know how to go about, i want to create somthing simplke but dont know the program or scripts to get it done.

Basicly i want my users to click something on my website to verify them selves in a list of patients, and then when they do so, on another page a list of all the patients who have verified inc their name, and other details etc will be produced

Each of these pages Will be nicely accesable, anyone understand what im goin on about? and mopre importantly any one got a solution for me :)

Cheers

well, a database and some scripting could handle this rather easily.

what scripting language(s) do you have available through your host?

Well, how about starting with your database table(s)? You said you are going to have a list of patients and their details. You could start by listing those columns out.

yes i already have these colms but the problem is i have to keep updating the list manually when a new patient signs up, (it is a blood donation site and people in the college sign up through me who manages this particular site, and i was wondering when peolpe fill in the forms who were wrote by aother person, if it will automaticly publish an entry in another table on a seperate page on the site...

any help?

thanks

Sounds like they are filling out a form today for you. So, you must be processing that form on the server-side somehow? What currently happens when they submit a form?

when they submit a form it goes to the main system, which is the head office above me i have controll over it and it is currently in writen in "asp" the script was wrote for us a while abck and now none of our staff are able to change it, i have a decent understanding of websites and things but just have never ventured into scripting like this before.

so i dont know if there is some way of when the form that is filled in i can make it generate feilds on another page, but at present im not to sure on whats going on.

Thanks,
Josh
