Basic MySQL Help

I just got done bulding a basic HTML site for a small franchise. Its like a Main Event for younger kids. Anyway, the owner wanted me to add forums to the site so the kids could keep in touch and meet kids from all over the US (no url's please). Problem is I have no clue on working MySQL or coding forums.

I tried configuring a MySQL guestbook. Everything seems to be fine, until i test it. I get the following;

Could not insert data because Access denied for user: 'planetk_alex@%' to database 'create'

I have granted that user 'dba' privilages.

Anyway, if you could point me to a good tutorial on coding and configuring simple forums I'd appreciate it.

You also need to give the .mdb file write priviliges in the file system.

find the mdb file, right click and select Properties, find the security tab, and make it writable for everyone.

alright you're going to have to forgive me. but the .dba file, is it in my ..com/ file system?

i tried loging into the built in phpMyAdmin control panel but it sais incorrect PW, eventho, i have the right PW and Username.

my apologies - I thought you were using Access (I noticed the word capitalized above).
