Examining optimisation of server and queries

Can anyone guide me to the authority book on MySQL?

Specifically, I'm looking to learn how to optimise the server configuration and optimise our queries.

I've read lots of web articles already, but would specifically like something on paper.

hi tj,

the o'reilly mysql cookbook is a permanent fixture on my desk. loads of great info. but you might be better off with something about scalability - the cookbook is quite generalised.
