"repair-table" is there a "plan b" in case that fails?

"repair" apparently went fine (it said OK)... but problem is still there

Hi there!

Iīve a nucleus weblog (nucleuscms.org) and i post several items every day.
But sometimes it happens that when I try to modify something in an item (ie. the title) an error appears that says that a table had a problem and I should try to repair it.
When I do it, phpmyadmin says the process it was successfull, but when I go and try again.. the problem reappears...

Is there a "plan b" in this occasions? another command or something?

Thanks in advance!

plan B is to have a solid backup of the data and the skills necessary to rebuild/reinstall the database at a moments notice.

yeah.. I know that. And thatīs why I have (woosh!) a recent backup.
But I donīt want to do that... I really wanted to find the error, because Iīm afraid that if I do reinstall everything... that error will keep appearing...
