OK....I really do not want to get into details but I have had a forum pulled down which was PHPBB, because I had a little prick of a board member complain that my content was unsuitable.

I personally do not think it was a bad topic, or that the content was politically incorrect, but whatever....it was a free forum and I have to abide by their interpretations of what suitable material is.

I want to know what is my best move so that this does not happen to me again? Can I purchase a Forum and have it directed to my domain name and avoid future conflicts of interest? I really liked the ease of the PHPBB bulletin board setup, but if it means that I have to pay a company to license their forum, and then pay a programmer to set up my forum to my standards...then so be it.

With all that being said....which type of forum is the easiest, cheapest, and fastest to set back up, and where is the best place to try to hire somebody as a programmer to set this new forum up?

Thanks again in advance.

phpbb forum is free. You can download it at their web site for free. No need to pay.

All you need is a web host that allows you to create a MySQL database. Upload the phpbb forum scripts. Click install in the url and your forum is ready. As simple as A,B,C and 1,2,3.

If you know how to how to read a manual and follow instruction, I don't think you need the help of others. I once taught my 10 year-old nephew to install phpbb forum by himself. He did everything including the topics of discussion at the forum. The forum is all his.

:D

If you need help, I can help you for free. No need to hire because it is so easy. (Provided the topic of your forum is not something I consider objectionable e.g. anti-religion site, anti-America, anti-Jews/Christian, racist site, porn site, etc)

If you want to purchase then try vbulletin or Invision board, etc.

I don't understand you - why was your forum pulled down? I don't get the connection between "inappropriate" content and phpBB/technology solutions.

I believe he used one of those free forum sites that use phpbb not knowing that phpbb forum script is actually free.
