Just wondering, for those who has got tens of websites to handle, how do you manage your entire backups, do you backup one by one, or do any of the centralized backups?

Thanks

hi sunny,

welcome to webmasterworld! ;)

we back up using an automated script (cron + mysqldump) to a separate location once a day. we have 3 different servers. once the automated backup scripts are in place it is no work whatsover - everythings is simply backed up each night. automated backups are definitely the way to go.

Welcome to WebmasterWorld, Sunny. If you are backing up to a remote server, don't forget to save a local copy periodically, too. And be sure to check your backups often. We've seen backup scripts fail and not get noticed for weeks.
