i need a forum script that looks like a mail program(outlook, netscape, thunderbird ..etc.)

do you know where i can found such a forum script?

When you say "looks like a mail program", what do you mean - are messages still created and read online through a browser, or does it all happen through a client that can be online or offline?

i mean it can be viewed by an internet browser but looks like a mail client..

I found some scripts but they are commercial.
for instance you can visit phpguru.org and click "forums".

You'll understand what i mean.

I see, so posts are displayed in a threaded view, and high level topics are treated as folders. The one on phpguru appears to be called "Pariah BB", but is only available as a hosted service from the authors.

I'm sure there are others that use this approach, but my feeble brain can't recall their names. However, it does remind me of the /dir.gmane.org/ interface for browsing listserv archives though. Sorry not to be of more help.
