are they necessary on 2.0.18?

I had two hacks in my sessions.php on older versions of phpBB:

First was to prevent the sessions table getting full and the second was to enable spiders to crawl the board.

Just wondering if i still need to apply them on the latest version?

You'll certainly need to hack things up to get spiders crawling around, but I can't remember the exact bits to chop.

I think there's a mod called phpBB SEO or something similar which steps you through a load of things to make it more SEO friendly.
I believe it's written by Craven De Kere or something very similar, who is also a member around here.

Sorry I couldn't be more help!

Yes, you will still need the sessions mod on 2.0.18 - this new version is mostly a bug-fix release (with a few new features) so most mods are still required. In the upcoming phpBB 3.0 the mod should no longer be necessary, but there is still no sign of the new version being released yet.
