Migrating Snitz ASP forum to phpBB

I admin a year old Snitz ASP forum running on an SQL database. Its quite busy and has numerous glitches and is hard to modify/update.

I'm thinking of setting up a secondary application server to run the forum in phpBB which I am very familiar with.

Just wondering how faesible it would be to export/import databases.

I'm thinking it would be a big headache and may be better off starting from scratch.
