Hi,

I have a particular keyword in my forum thread that seems to bring in more visitors to my forum. Most of the guests come to my forum through that thread.

I researched in google and found that keyword when searched lists my forum as the 10th listing or so.

Now my question:

How do I find out other similar keywords that attract traffic?
My forum is for the Indian Ladies community. Where can I find out other sites related to Indian ladies and try diverting traffic from there?

Appreciate inputs from experts running great forums.
Thanks in advance.

Indisource, generating search traffic in a forum is similar to any other kind of website. Read some discussions in the Keyword forum [webmasterworld.com] to get ideas about how to find keywords related to your topic.

As a forum operator, you can also take the passive approach - let your posters find the keyword combinations for you. If you have a high volume of posts, you'll find that hundreds of members are far more creative than the best individual keyword researcher, and you'll get lots of traffic from keywords you would never have thought of.

Of course, it helps if you make sure your forum meets follows good SEO practices. External links will help too.
