need SEF urls for phpBB, which mod?

been looking but I'm lost now.

I'm pretty green when it comes to forums, so can anyone point me to a decent SEF mod for the most recent version of phpBB?

I've come across a few, but have no idea which are decent or not. The one that looked the best seems to have been from 2003, which I'd rather not fool with. TIA!

Craig, I can't answer your question directly, but when I'm comparing forum hacks I usually base my decision on the discussion of those hacks. At the vBB hack forum, for example, each hack has its own thread. I look at the feedback and questions that have been posted, and whether the issues seem to have been resolved. Whether the author is still posting can make a difference - it's common for an author to post a hack and then move on to other things as time passes.

To some degree, you can also let the complexity of the hack guide your decision. If you are adding a few lines of code in one program, for example, there's a lot less risk than if you are changing code in many programs and templates. Of course, always be sure you have a good backup of both your programs/templates and forum database before implementing a hack.

thanks for the tips Roger, surprised others haven't chimed in yet since I know so many here run forums of their own.

I'm going to spend some time in the phpBB forums today and see what I can turn up, but I'd still love to get a recommendation for the SEF mod from people here. Come on people, what are you using?

There are two hacks which are famous for phpbb forums you can find both if them in the phpbb.com mods section

i duno if i can drop url of that section over here so you better find them in there mods section

another thing just search over google phpbb seo second or third result i think was good one as i saw last time..check it out yourself

any suggestions for other mods now that I have the SEF urls out of the way? I'm clueless as far as what people seem to like.
