Tomorrow Facebook should theoretically be crossing the 200 million users level tomorrow based on our estimates but according to Wei Zhu of Facebook, the number could be as high as 280 million...

I actually heard this on the radio this morning as well... I wonder if facebook is gonna be like MySpace and Orkut which were taken over by a newer social network website? Is twitter perhaps gonna be the new facebook? Why didnt hi5, orkut and myspace succeed?

I personally think cause Facebook made millions feel special (the ones who had an .edu account and thought the site was exclusively for them!)

Facebook proved that everybody wants/needs to stand out, be unique, and/or get the most attention!

I wonder if that is actual active users, or just all registered users.

i've only used it as a registered user, as the site's homepage is a login screen. i believe you could only view some of the content without registering; however, you would need to register to actually use facebook.
